Hi all, gonna do a diff fluid change soon.
Has anyone used the 75W 90 Lucas stuff?

For AWD..Is it 1.5 for front and 2 quarts for rear or Visa Versa? Some use 80w 90w
Is there any difference?
Tks all

Hello, the Lucas will work just perfect. I haven't used it particularly, as I've been using the Valvoline 75w90 full synthetic for two years now and zero issues. You are correct in the values - about 1qt for front and nearly 2 for rear. I personally got 4 bottles though at a time just to be safe.

Also, the 80w90 is usually non-synthetic, and not as good as 75w90 full synthetics.

I wouldn't touch Lucas with infinite karl's dipstick! Ha!
Lol, actually I just thought about it some more with your comment. To OP, Valvoline full synthetic 75w90 is the least you should use, Royal Purple, Amsoil, or Red line would be the ultimate choices.

Just playin. The fastest naturally aspirated FX35 uses Lucas in the oil and both diff's. 3 quarts for both will do the trick.
