did i get ripped? if i did what can i do about it please help

I dealt with a Dodge dealership here in Portland when my wife and I were looking for our last car. This dealer had an 04 Audi A6 trade in that we were interested in, so after we test drove it I asked the salesman to get me the service history. He said "oh no problem" then basically ignored my question completely and tried to close the deal. I asked him again that day and after he sidestepped the question once more, we left. I called him up the next day and asked him again for the service history, to which he replied that I had "nothing to worry about", it was "a great car", blah blah blah. I finally got tired of his BS and said "Do you not understand what I'm asking for, or are you trying to rip me off?" He hesitates for about 2 seconds then hung up on me. Needless to say we bought a car elsewhere.

Inskip Infiniti (Rhode Island) had an '06 RWD without Nav. for 30k and it had like 38k miles on it. I bought out my lease for the 2006 with Nav and everything else, with 24k miles,,needless to say they were not happy! That deal sounds hinkey!

Yes, you got ripped off, you can try to dispute it with the dealership but you are bound by the contract to pay what was agreed upon during signing at their finance office.

It is imperative that you do your research before going into the dealership. You have an array of online tools to assist you in determining a fair price for both parties. KBB will probably be your best overall resource as far what what you should pay. Other factors such as aesthetics, maintenance, vehicle history, should also be researched online and discussed. As a part of this you should ask a friend who is mechanically inclined to help you inspect the vehicle before purchase to identify any discrepancies. This car could be a non-CPO vehicle, with that being said there is no manufacture's warranty. That's "if" you purchased it from a Infiniti dealership the below material is valid.)

Certified Pre-Owned Cars
"Only Infiniti models less than four years old and with under 60,000 miles qualify for the program, and then they must pass a rigorous inspection."

Good luck in getting your money back, you can try to dispute directly with the dealership. If they do not stand behind their cars and give you the run around that gets nothing done. You should contact the Nissan Corporate to file a complaint and go to BBB (Better Business Bureau) and file a complaint. Last resort is to hire a lawyer but it will be long drawn out battle due to the finance contract you signed. (That's "if" you purchased it from a Infiniti dealership the material I provided is valid.) Remember to document dates, times, names, titles of everyone you work with salesmen, managers, and even maintenance workers. This will build your complaint making it stronger and more direct, I dealt with a douche from Montclair Infiniti, Shawn Tahari (Finance Manager), I bet the complaint he got the next day from BBB and Infiniti Corp rattled his cage for handling a customer with his poor people skills. Let's just say the next day when I went in he didn't even dare look at me, had has head down the entire time I was there.

25k for my 08AWD with 40k on it... Paint isnt in the best condition but the price was right..and at a dealership.. People need to do a little research before signing their life away to a jacked up contract. A vehice is usually the second biggest purchase one makes behind a house. So put a few weeks into researching the vehicle u like and what they blue book for. Vehicles can always be negotiated on. They hate people like me and love people like you. They make a killing on you and lose money or make pennies on me. I just move cars off their lot. You pay mortgages!! Tough lesson. Dont be afraid to walk off a lot or just tell them to f*ck off if you dont like how they treat u or their price is unheard of.. Plenty of solid dealers out there that will work with you. Leaving a dealership with an unsure feeling is the worst feeling... My 2 cents with punctuation included:biggrin:

If the vin/tag number on the ad match the one on the car you bought and they sold it for more than the advertised price, you can probably sue for the balance and win. It's called false advertising, and probably falls under other similar laws (no, I'm no lawyer :D).

If it doesn't match then you paid what you paid, nothing you can do about it unfortunately.

thanks for the help guys. nothing i can do now , i just moved on
and enjoying my ride but next ride i buy i will do research before i purchase.
