we bought a car at the nissan dealership an 06 fx35 the price tag that was on it was 36,000
and we asked if they can hook us up a deal the sales man went to the managers office and came back out
saying yeah they can do it for 35,500 so we agreed to it and paid the downpayment did the paper work next day
picked up the car so we take the car home i was just browsing through craiglist for fx to see if the price we
we got it for was correct so i ran into this add that was from the same dealership same car priced ass 33,000
so we call them back told them the problem they knew they were wrong and started saying oh that was another car we
had 2 of them but they didnt because my friend bought a gcoupe from them a week or 2 ago and they had no other fx
and i often pass by there for school , so we go back there try to talk things out they so there like okay we give
you guys one year vip service anytime car wash and 3 free oil changes if we didnt get ripped out why would they give
us the free oil changes and services so we didnt really make a big deal about it we dont know much about cars
dealerships then a month later we get this letter from the government that the car has to be reinspected because
the place that was the car inspected in was a fraud and we take the paper back to the dealership the manager said oh
ive never seen such thing before but were gonna take care of this so they said bring the car down were gonna inspect
it for you guys and send it to government that it was reinspected so were on our way there to the dealership to get it
inspected i parked the car for 711 to grab a drink come back the car wont start the battery had died so i called thee
dealership to come help us get it start they sent to mechanics to help us out the car we had it only for a month
and its already starting to cause problems so we take for inspection i ask if i can be there while inspected they said no
u cant be in the shop because of insurance reason but u can look behind the window but i wanted to hear so they didnt let me
ok the inspection was done they put new battery and said oh you need new tires the tires i had was performance tires
and the thread was to low they said they will change is for us in order to pass the inspection so they put new tires that
look very different i will post pics soon they dont look performance tires to me they look like snow tires i dont know
anything about tires so they did that for us and gave us this paper that wasnt official and said the official papper that will
say the inspection was passed will come to your mail so we went to talk about the warranty because they sold us this
warranty for 2800 and we said why did u guys sell us the warranty the manager said because your cars 06 and its 2010
now the warranty for your cars over while my car is 40 k only so thats about it im not sure whats happeneing here are
we getting ripped off because i talked to my uncle and he said if the warranty was over they should give you guys
1 year warranty from the dealership
sorry i wrote alot i just need to know what needs to be done with these people i dont want a wrecked car or something

Wow that was a long sentence!!!

Sounds suspicious. Dealerships will definitely try to take advantage of people who don't know better, but as for the price of the car - you gotta negotiate. I think you could have done better on the price, but it's hard to blame the dealer if you accepted their offer.

They should fix any problems that exist with the car - if you don't trust them to identify problems, take it to another dealership. Get a second opinion.

first off, take a step back and breath. then use periods for easier reading

So let me get this straight? You bought a 06 fx35 with 40k miles for $35,500 recently? Is this in dollars or canadian money, cause if its in dollars im pretty sure that thats way over the KBB value. Either way, i dont think you can get a refund unless they have a policy where you can return your car within X days and get money back

as for the tires. what brand are they? what does it say on the tire? if you tell us this we can help you out. The car comes stock with Goodyear RSA tires, and they suck.

good luck

wow, a little punctuation & periods would help, I think that is just one really really long run on sentence:tongue:

far as them charging you too much, there is nothing illegal about asking too much for something that is not regulated, if someone wanted 40k for a 91 corolla & you gave it to them then they did nothing wrong. it is up to the buyer to research what something is worth & what your willing to pay for something.

if they have a 30 day return policy or something like that then maybe you have some negotiation room after the fact, otherwise you bought it & gave them there asking price & it's a done deal really, it don't matter if they were going to sell it to someone else even for 10k less. $36k for an 06 with 40k miles is extremely high, but again, not illegal or wrong doing on there part, the wrond doing was on your part really in agreeing to pay that...

did they charge you for the tires?

you got ripped...should have came here for information first...
tryt o get it to another dealer

Can you fix your post so we can follow easier and give you some advice. This is really hard to follow with no punctuation. This is about 1000 words and not 1 comma or period.

Looks like you got taken. They sold you a warranty for $2800 and it expired? This doesn't sound right. Why wouldn't you go down with someone that knows how to buy a car?

YOU JUST GOT FU**ED.
1st things 1st:
Never buy an extended warranty from the dealership right away. Research for a week or two. Sometimes there are better options elsewhere.
$36k for an 06 model, I donno how anyone can justify that much for a 1st gen car.
You paid that much but didn't bother to pay $200 and bring a private inspector with you to have the car checked thoroughly!!!
You didn't do any online research at all, you should have.
You have already signed the papers, call BBB and ask them if they can help.
Meanwhile print out that online ad as a proof.
Don't listen to anything the dealership says to you.

wait a minute, do they have BBB in Canada?

:confused::confused::confused:

well the exchange rate isnt much different

35,500.00 Canadian dollars = 34,664.5785 U.S. dollars

You are pretty active on this forum so I am surprised you dint do any research before you bought the car. Does the 35k price include the extended warranty?

nope they told us that our car is 06 and the warranty is over now so if anything happens you pay so must buy the extented warranty

The dealer is correct, your warranty is over and you should buy an extended warranty if you don't want to pay for repairs. You can get a 100$ deductible Infiniti warranty for about 1700 US$. Did you have to pay for the tires?

what's done is done so now just enjoy the car, I always learn lessons the hard way so don't beat yourself over it.

The only thing you can do is check to see if there is a return policy, I couldn't read through your entire post so didn't know if you mentioned this. I bought a Honda Prelude back in the day and they let me return it in 7 days no questions asked at the dealership. I kept the car since it was what I wanted at the time.

no the tires the manager paid for it but what sketches me out is the person they bought the car off why did they take it to the a fraud place to do an inspection

man i'm sorry to hear that you were taken for on dirty ride like that. Just to give you a perspective on how bad they got you. I bought my fx 05 last june with 38,000 miles on it for $24,000. Before deciding on my current ride i was looking for at fx 06 and they wanted $26,500, so either way you look at it you made a sales man really happy for a couple of months. :err:
