i've looked around 4 different forums and about 80% of the people who'v had them have had problems. i'd rather spend an extra hundred or two and get a good name-brand that isnt a copy and nothave to worry about it as much.
 
Do whatever you want. I just can't justify spending hundreds of dollars on some pipe. Megan had a bad rep in the past but people seem to say it's better now.
 
Like i said the tanabe or fujisubo are very nice. Does the Motordyne need to be modified?

I like alot of those Motordyne exhaust components you could prac make a cat back system out of it lol

Judging by that price it could be pretty messed up. Or could be an awesome deal. If it was on a lowered Z check the flex sections.

MD has a few cat backs. They are all customizable with different options like cat, resonator, straight pipe.
 
yeah this guy i just found is in the ny/nj area so im going to check it out when im home next weekend, if the wear and tear isnt too bad then i'll be getting a pretty good deal..

he's selling it becaus ehes getting a full true dual and doesnt need it, it has some minor wear and tear on the flex sections but he says it doesn't leak..... and he's close to home, so i can go and check them out next weekend, and for $75 if they are fine, what a deal!

If that Tanabe doesnt work out i was just reading about the Motordyne Y and it seems that they put in alot of good R&D and they just didnt go out and copy somthin. This part of the Y pipe discription:

With several data points analyzed a curve was generated and showed the optimum “Y-pipe” length peaked at 16”. A 16” long Y-pipe would be a too short of a Y-pipe to fit in the stock location so an extension was added behind it to connect with the midpipe flange. SOUNDS LEGIT

hmmm sounds legit. and I have their spacer too...hmmm its only 395 but looks great hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

The Megan is only 145. You should probably shop around and check with my350z vendors. Oh and I'm not surprised about the Tanabe. I had a feeling it would be sold because people never update on there. :rolleyes:
