I dont know if anyone has tried this... saw some videos on guys decarbonizing there engine with water using a spray bottle and going through the air tubes....has anyone tried this...or is this a myth...

Why would you need to "decarbonize" your engine? The fuel sprayed by the injectors basically takes care of any buildup on your valves. The FX isn't direct injection so there isn't ever any real buildup. On a DI car like an Audi, Lexus, or BMW there is no fuel being sprayed over the valves so there will be buildup that has to be regularly cleaned off. But that's done with media (walnut) blasting that involves high pressure air. The stuff is baked on much harder than water or even solvents would take off. The only other way to clean valves on DI cars is manual brushing using stiff wire brushes and a ton of solvent. Water won't do a thing.

It's a myth, pretty much useless just like Seafoam. The smoke you see is likely just steam similar to the smoke from Seafoam where the smoke is just the product burning off and not any actual buildup. But at least water is free.
