Debadging?

also when you use the floss or whatever make sure you pull DOWN or UP and NOT TOWARD you because if you pull it toward you while you are doing it you can indent the paint with the emblems.

I then used goo-gone and a good cleaner wax then polished up and you cant tell there was anything there

I just debadged it, it is a little faded where is used to say fx35 but i'm sure with some wax and polish it will disappear. Just need to go buy some. Overall looks much better.

Has anyone besides jumbo had problems with a little fading or shadow around the area after debadging? Should I have to worry about this since my car is almost 5 years old? I have heard people say that the paint tone might be a little different after debadging a car that is a couple years old.
I clay bared, rubbing compounded, polished, and waxed the entire car after I debadged it and it looks perfect.

it took a long time. :-)

GOod tip, i left indent on the paint. =(

I will be removing the fx 35 from the rear this weekend. I also want to remove the Infiniti Emblem but someone said it has two holes behind it on the first generation?

I'm considering doing this as well on the FX.
On other cars I've used a blowdryer and an old credit card and it worked well. You just need to use Goo-Gone and/or scratch remover afterward to finish the job.

I debaged my FX37S the day I got it. Everything is gone now, even the Infiniti logo. Good that the 2. gen FX doesn't have those 2 holes underneath. :wink (2):

The sun was shining on the back of the car for a couple of hours, so I just had to use a hair dryer and pretty much everything came right off. Some polish made it look perfect.

blah, i debadged the fx35 on my car but theres a really bad outline of the fx35. Ive tried a clay bar and some goo gone but its still there. Its very noticable in sunlight. The car is only a year old. I also tried some polish but no luck. There isnt anything there that i can feel with fingernails. Any other suggestions???
