Dealer damaged rims during balancing (pictures)

it's not the dealership that did this, it's just one lazy tech... the dealerships fault lies in the fact that instead of hearing the customers concern & understanding there concern & making sure that the tech doesn't do this again, instead they just try to cover it up & schmooze the customer over & carry on business as usual, trying to justify the techs action...

I don't know, but I've been through all kinds of headaches with techs... they just don't care enough to be anal about anything... it's not there car... it's just some customers... no tech is going to care about a slight mark or something.. its just run of the mill for them... this is why I don't want anyone to touch my car ever... I know most can't expect to do the same though... I fully expect some minor damage each & every time someone else touches my car, weather it's dirt where it shouldn't be or a scuff or an air gun used on wheels, whatever... no tech is going to be anal... there working on your car while thinking about there own stuff... your car is just something they have to get done...

I don't agree

This is a luxury dealership.
Infiniti dealer work is extra $$ for reason.
This is not some mom and pop shop where the tech should not care.
Heck when I'm at the dealership and see some of the techs they are very polite and care because that is what management should enforce at a dealership like that.
At my dealership they do whatever it takes to make sure the customer is happy, even if it comes out of their pocket because of a screw up.

I can expect this from a dealership like chevy but not Infiniti.

I'm not disagreeing with any of that. I'd say you should fully expect top notch service, unfortunately it doesn't always work out that way...

That sucks, I'm sorry to hear that. I had a much worse problem with my G37, took it to Goodyear to have them swap my summer and winter tires, and their machine gouged the entire face of my 19's. Then they refused to pay for new wheels, they did however pay to have them "refinished", which isn't as good as factory.

That was a painful lesson for me, and from now on I will ONLY have that sort of thing done at the dealer. While it will cost more $, they have special machines that won't damage the wheel, and if they do, they will REPLACE the wheel, rather then only pay to have them refinished.

Good luck and hopefully you don't have to deal with this headache again.
