Dead Battery, then rough idle

So I was at work Friday, went out for lunch and returned. I was leaving for the day about an hour later. Open the door, turn the key, nothing. No lights, horn, ignition, dead. So I popped the hood, and jiggled the wires on the battery. Just doing that, all power restored, the car started. Got home, and washed it. When I went to start it to bring it in the garage, same problem. So got a wire brush and cleaned all the contacts on the battery. No problem since. But today, I went to a car show and at stop lights, it was idling REALLY rough, to the point where I thought it was going to stall.

Any suggestions? Does anyone think this is a funtion of my battery issues? It was dead long enough to wipe out my memory seats and radio stations. Could this have messed up the ECU?????

Tried that... still very rough and it did in fact stall out on me. But once I drive it, its fine. ???

Have you checked your battery? With an electrical meter I mean?

Wow, I was just researching the weird idle deal, had multiple tabs open, and thought this was a new post. Sorry for the colossal resurrection. :embarrassed:
