DDM Tuning HID Fog Light Kit

installed DDM tuning 6000K D2S bulbs and HID into my 2010 FX35 headlights and fog last weekend. Everything went very smooth, I am happy with the lights output and color match. My H8 kit does not have the connector to connect to the OEM plug, but it only has 2 prongs (red + black) to be inserted into the OEM plug. Is that normal for the DDM tuning H8 kit? Everything works great but I know over time water will get into OEM plug and something may get mess up, I live in Canada with bad winter month so I just know it will happen after a winter or two... I read this thread and saw whole bunch of pics showing the DDM H8 kit and I always saw the kit has a black connector to plug into the OEM harness. Is my kit missing the conenctor? should I return or email DDM to ask for another kit?

I got a same H8 DDM kit, after insert to OEM plug then elec. tape around it, I think that should take care of it. Do you have any problem to turn all of them on the same time ( fogs and headlights ) ?.....

My FX is 05 but has front bumper and the grill from 07 model so my fogs, just for reference if someone has a question mark. LOL

I got my DDM slim set today. 4500K. Got scared when I read Stu has H8's and I ordered 9006's. My whip is an 04 :smug:. Will post pics when I install them this weekend

Dang it...one of my DDM foglight ballast went out...it was good for 2 years. Other one still is fine though. I called DDM since they are supposed to have lifetime warranty on these kits. They still have my order records on file from 2008. Great!

They are sending me out an RMA to send the faulty ballast in to be replaced. Takes about 5 days including my shipping and their return shipping. Nice customer service and fast.

But is it really worth it? I mean, I can get a whole new kit for $35 including new bulbs. I might just get a whole new kit instead and have backup bulbs and ballasts.

you can but add shipping and such and its $45. Plus you would have to take out your old system and put the other one in instead of just reaching in and unplugging you old ballast and replace with new one.

Do they replace just the ballast? I remember they wanted to send me a whole new kit instead of a bulb.

The way I have mine installed, I have to take off my whole front bumper anyways. There is no way I can't just reach over and uninstall it. It's mounted to my frame.

They will replace ballasts only. If you need to send in a bulb for repair....they want you to send in both bulbs, as they only replace them as a pair.

So I took the plunge with the DDM Tuning HID fog lights. I just discovered that my passenger side fog light's glass was cracked, so what better excuse to upgrade, amiright?

I ordered a replacement fog light off of ebay and thanks to all the peeps on this thread, I ordered the Raptor 35w 6000k HIDs with matching 6000k D2S bulbs for the headlights. I figured since the whole front bumper has to come out, I might as well go big. I'll try and take before and after photos to add to the collection on this thread.

when I go to check my fogs this week and see a ballast is burnt...im just going to order new ones from DDM because kensun sucks

I installed the fog lights and matching 6000k D2S hid bulbs yesterday before the rain set in. It took me a liitle longer than I anticipated taking off the bumper and I scraped my wrists a lot removing it but I did it!

I barely noticed when the stock fog lights were on but I definitely do now. Thanks to everyone for the know how and inspiration. I am happy with the results!

man... I STILL did not install mine :mad.: work, rain, kids, work, rain, kids.... you get the flow

I hear you. I had a very small window to install the lights and dove right in. It was totally worth my busted and scraped up hands and 3 hours of my Saturday morning.
