DC SS HEADERS Bought some questions??

Hi to all

I bought DC SPORT SS Headers... And I will change with the original ones. I will also add the flowmaster 80 muffler too. But I have a question I 've heard some g/z/fx s with exhaust systems but I am really confused about cats???
Should I use just straigth pipes or resonated test pipes or what else???
I also realised that some cars have crappy sounds because of decats or smt dif but should be also about cats...
In addition I will have intake kit+dc headers+flowmaster muffler and 2.5" custom piping+also mod about cats(OR STOCK...) but after these I really now that I need some ecu or software thing can you also reccommend me smt about it?? But I cant send the ECU because I am living in Turkey...:wink:
 
I think it's the Nismo more than the Headers. I dont think Will is really much louder than my setup. The combination works real nice on his ride

DC headers + NISMO Exhaust is Crazy Loud. I had something in my trunk the other day that I had to drive with the Gate open. The 10 min drive to FedEx was not a pleasent one. I feel for the people driving behind me.

I was pulled over a month ago and the officer made a comment about the noise. However, he also mentioned that it was not louder than a Harley, lol.

The CAT delete on FX is nothing but creating a COP magnet. Also, the performance gain that not that much.
 
Removing the Cat to reduce back pressure could likely hurt performance on a NA engine whereas on a turbo car you want no back pressure at all. You would probably also lose some low end torque that makes these cars so enjoyable to drive.

what about Headers + High Flow Cats vs. Headers + exhaust system?

I think Headers with only HFC and stock exhaust will do great job. the 2.5" stock exhaust is not bad for 3.5 engine while the stock cats are the pretty restrictive part.
Also Headers + HFC will cost less with more gains. That's my opinion

DC Headers+Berk or Megan Resonated test pipes+ flowmaster 80 series
OR
The same setup with 2.5" piping including Y-Pipe

Any better ideas guys???

But I think I definitely need Ecu Reflash or Remap...

I already have the DC headers on. Soon I'll just buy Berk HFC. I will not change the the exhaust because it will cost me alot(considering shipping) while not gaining much power and I don't want to lose so much lowend torque by freeing pressure.

You'll be terrible sorry that you went with test pipes (ANY type, resonated or not) if you do it with headers. It'll not only be LOUD but it'll be raspy and will have drone.. Just DON'T do it.. TurboCad went that way once with Stillen test pipes, headers and exhaust and he sold off the test pipes in a month I believe. Even my FX with headers, y-pipe and APS exhaust was really loud once it went above 4000 rpms. Check my thread (///2030) if you're wondering about the sound.. First 2 videos in the thread are stock exhaust with headers, second two are with APS 2.5" exhaust. All with stock Cats.
 
Now I have just DC SS HEADERS I did not add intake and exhaust system the same time to see difference but honestly it is just nothing low rpms more slow and high rpms a little bit fast or the same I am not that sure and about the sound it is slightly louder in high rpms
And generally JUST putting headers is not adding noticable gains, differences to the car...
