DBA rotors, or others, emergency brake clearance?

Hi folks,

Anyone have any thoughts on how much flexibility there is in the opening for the emergency brake in the rotor hub? Just started installing my new DBA rotors only to find out the hole is about 3/4 of an inch too small and the rotor won't fit over the emergency brake. No way to adjust that much to make it clear.

Sounds like they didn't mfg these right, either for the 50 or the 35 (assuming they are identical, not sure if they are).

Anyone have similar experiences with rotors not fitting the FX50 rear?
 
I have the same problem. The rear diameter of the Rotor is half an inch too smal. We're you able to solve the problem or did you find DBA rotors that fit?
 
Wow, so they let you buy them? I should say they still sold them that way? They KNOW they are bad!

I found this problem and worked with DBA and they have mfg NEW rears. I have at least one pair on the way from Australia now and I would assume more. Wait a bit (a couple weeks) and then contact DBA and ask for the revised 4000 series rear rotors with the correct drum width.
 
No, I answered why they don't fit above. They have corrected rotors on the way. They didn't sell the incorrect rotors they mfg them to the wrong specs, per DBA.
 
Ok, just throwing it out there since another vendor was selling G37 rear brake kits as compatible with the FX and the issue was the exact same.

A lot of places list the same part numbers for the G37 and FX50 rear rotors when they're not the same. DBA US site doesn't list the rear rotors at all right now. Good luck getting it resolved. DBA makes nice parts.

I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't get information from their sizing source (learned that a lot of these aftermarket places get specs from a few specific sources to mfg parts) that said "this is the FX50s" and it's exactly the same as the G37s rears.

I just wanted to be clear however since I did work directly with DBA to fix the issue and they have manufactured brand new rear rotors just for the FX50 and they are right now clearing customs. I'm not sure how many of them are on the way but I can say that DBA will now have the correct size for the rears for the 50s, which is great since they are fantastic rotors. Love the fronts.
