Daytime running light bulbs

I know what the DTRL is like 7440 or something like that but has anyone modded that light to match 6600k PIAA headlights or to any 6000k/8000k healdlights. And also FOG LIGHTS too. I've been trying to slow the mods down a bit but i can stop modding it. thanks for your help.

Most have done LED's for the DRL's to match their HID headlight and fog lights. Its never a perfect match but pretty close. There is a thread on this subject in this lighting section. But I have been using the 'Web Matrix III 36 LED Bulb' from autoillumination for the past couple of years.

Im also using LED's for my DTRL......I have 8K headlights and my Fogs are the Piaa 7500K
 
I was using the 36LED for a bit with no luck in reliablility.

I have since switched to the 24 LED and these match better with my 6K HID.
 
whats up doc...

ended up getting the lights you mentioned in the post... quick question... plugged them in and they would not turn on... i tried both lamps that were sent to me... any suggestions?

have u tried pulling it back out and then turn it the other way? turning the bulb 180 degree and putting them back in?
 
yeah... I gave that a shot and still nothing... I noticed that the new LED's only have 2 prongs on the bottom whereas the original bulbs have 4... think that has to do with them not turning on?

Did you order the 7443 or 7440? I forget which ones I ordered but I will double check the prongs for you.

Mine are 4 prongs with 2 on each side.

these are the ones I ended up ordering... well at least on the receipt... looks like i was shipped the wrong ones...
