Dashcam

Anyone have any opinions on some of the best dashcams for your money? Right now I'm looking at the Rostra 2-channel. However I'd kind of like a dash can for the rear just incase of another hit and run.

Anyone have any they love that is a 2 way for front and back? The rostra is only viewing you, not the back.

Thanks

I have a blackvue DR500GW-HD. Great camera, but super expensive. Blackvue has been in the dashcam game for a long time, so their products are really good though. Even comes with some super intuitive software to playback videos and so on.

The camera itself has wifi so you can connect to your phone, and change settings, or view what the camera sees. It also has GPS to track movement, and speed (although I turn the speed off just incase I was speeding and get into an accident).

My model is just a front facing camera, but they recently released a 2CH model. Which is the DR550GW-HD. Front camera is almost identical to mine and shoots at 1080p while the rear camera shoots at 720p.

Price ranges from about $300-$450.

I purchased a finevue pro with gps on ebay for like 200. Guy is really nice and good on price. His tech and help is great. He gives you his personal number to text if you have issues.

I'm in the market for a dashcam and been doing some reading. Came across Blackvue and all the good reviews, then found this product (dr650gw-2ch):
http://www.blackvue.com/dr650gw-2ch/

Amazon Canada's website has some great deals on it: https://www.amazon.ca/BlackVue-Channel-DR650GW-2CH-Recorder-Included/dp/B00NEPNCGM

Seems to have pretty much everything you need. Has anyone used this 2 channel kit? Is there anything better? (I dont know, maybe a 4 channel kit? lol)
Also appreciates any tips regarding routing the wire for the rear camera. I'll be sure to use the dash cam DIY for the front cam (https://www.infinitiscene.com/searc...ll-a-Dash-Cam-By-Tapping-Into-Rearview-Mirror)

Hey guys, need your help. I just purchased Rexing V1 dash cam along with MotoPark MultiSafer hardwire kit. The kit has a wire to connect to constant 12v and another wire to 12v only when vehicle is on.

I got a picture of the fuse battery cover diagram. Does anyone know which one I need to tap into?
This is for 2011 Infiniti FX35

I think you can just tap into your rearview mirror wires

I can if I just want it to turn on if car is on however my dashcam has motion detection which requires a constant 12v. The hardwire kit taps into a constant 12v and a switch 12v and can be flipped to either setting. The kit has a cut off point if the car battery falls below a certain voltage to prevent my car battery from dying. Which is why I need to go this fuse route

I just finished the install today. I tapped into 10a Audio/Mirror fuse for AC 12v and 10a Meter for constant 12v. Now I am able to switch to constant 12v if I park in a shady spot and vice versa
