Dash Kits

i want to install a dash kit in my fx. just a bit confused if the stock aluminum trim is brushed alum, or just reg alum?

also just looking to buy from ebay. can somebody recommend a good(current) ebay vendor.

feel free to post pix of your installed kits also, be nice to see a finished product.

ya i saw that and it looks awesome! only thing is i dont have the patience/time and probably skill for it lol... ill be happy with the alum kit for now.

this is the kit im looking at now. anyone dealt with these guys before?? also they carry aluminum, brushed aluminum, real brushed aluminum. i should be ordering brushed aluminum?

ya soon as i get the dash kit and chrome pillars on ill take some pix. i already ordered the pillars and just gona pick a dash kit today or tomorrow.

also getting a compustar pro installed this weekend.

i also contacted the ebay seller. brushed aluminum has the clear coat on top for protection, real brushed aluminum has no clear coat which means more scratches.

the seller offered to send out samples too. so for anyone else that might be interested, u can def get some samples before u order.

that red is pretty cool! i just got the alum type color to match my oem stuff. if i use it i dont think i will use every single piece though.

you won't have a hard time taking it off and you won't damage your original pieces, now install it and post pics already, there are people waiting to see your results and decide whether to go this route or not...

Here is my aluminum dash kit. I didn't use all of the pieces because it would be an overkill. Only used the vents and around the radio pieces.

I debadged the fx and i was experimenting with the letters. I don't think it looks that bad.

haha that would have been hilarious. Watch the FX badge fly at your forehead. You can be the next Harry Potter with an FX scar instead of a lightning bolt (except it'd read backwards) lol
