Darth vader :: 2004 infiniti fx35

Hey on the lower part of your back bumper I see the same dent I had. I actually fixed mine, just remove the 3 lower clips under the bumper and get your hand up in there. I shoved a ratchet up there then I pressed the bumper with my fingers from the outside and the dent got reduced. Then I painted the whole lower portion with plasti dip and it looks brand new.

Thinking about getting gtr exhaust for my fx, if i go tbis route all would need is to extend pipe by muffler correct? Thanks

Just the muffler? Besides extending the tips, won't you have to adjust the inlet some? A GTR exhaust isn't the same as a G/Z exhaust. I know the muffler will work, but I thought the inlet was slightly different.

Oh ok. Diff Y pipe too? I may look for gtr exhaust and sell my invidia or remove just the invidia muffler off and reattach a gtr muffler,
Hmmm

Dont bother man. Anything can be cut & welded to fit, but this looks totally off and will be a ton of work. Not worth the headache. Buy something for the G/Z/FX platform. There are some good options avail.

^^ What he said, the exhaust isn't remotely the same. The muffler fits only because it's roughly the same dimension and you can modify the inlet piping. But if you have the Invidia, you can't use the GTR muffler. It's a single inlet and your Invidia is dual. Only if you had the OEM midpipe or some other single inlet like Nismo/HKS. Also, the quad tips are going to be really hard to incorporate, you'd have to modify your bumper some.

Lots of work for no real benefit. If you don't like the Invidia, sell and swap to something that fits a G/Z, there are so many options.

Ahhh i see tbanks alot for this info before i started searching for it. I guess ill keep invidia and maybe get berks testpipe or hfc? I need to replace oem cat,their makimg some clinging noises every now and then but i want something where it wont vinrate the whole car like what the mevan testpipe did to my car and i dont want to have a cel on.

HFC's are probably a better bet. It will be louder than OEM obviously, but less than test pipes. The core in HFC's helps with noise because the exhaust waves have to pass through them and that breaks it up some. Sort of like how turbo cars are quieter since the exhaust passes through the turbine. HFC's are louder than OEM because the core isn't as restrictive and because most of them are made from thinner material than the OEM cats are. You can always get HFC's and a resonator if the noise is too much. Or I believe Fast Intentions makes/made a resonated HFC for the G/Z, it was kind of pricey though.

HFC's should prevent CEL, but it might come on sometimes. HFC's don't work as well as OEM cats for emissions so your car may think that a cat is failing. But an intermittent CEL is probably better than a constant one.

If i go with hfc, what brand will be better on not getting cel or less.

Or if i go with tp, is berks good? Will that give me cel and vibrate car since no brackets or it comes with one?
Thankz
