DIY is the way to go. Since you mention "shock" we assume you're only replacing the rear shocks? If so, at leisure without any prior suspension experiences and you can turn some sockets and hand tools, you can replace the rear shocks in 3 - 4 hours. One advise if you plan on doing it yourself is to spray the two 12mm nut that hold up the top end of the shock a few hours ahead or overnight. If you broke or strip those two nuts, it will co$$t you more to get them repaired since the two bolts are weld to the body.
