cutting front springs????

ok i want to cut the a eiback spring about 1/2 coil, question is is there a big difference in weight of the fx35 and the fx45? what im tryin to say is will the fx 45 extra engine weight drop lower then the the fx35??
 
Yes, it does make it lower. Look at some pictures to get an idea, HumbertoCali has cut Eibach's with a 45.
 
I don't know, but I think I'm gonna cut my stock springs in half for fun ahahaahahaha :err:
 
they only have 2 springs companys that lower the fx and both drops are funny lookin, and coil off the front is a must!! and i heard it wont even screw up ur tires either

you may want to PM humbertocali about his problems with the cut fronts on the 45
 
anyone who cuts off a whole coil lemme know... i think ima replace my HRs with just one coil.... go gangsta low!!!
maybe ill cut my springs into like 5 single coils and sell them as 'stoopidlow' springs and charge 300 a set...
 
1/2 a coil on H&R's make them a bit stiffer, but the eibachs are already stiff, cutting them will make them even stiffer than that, maybe too stiff? 1 coil on eibachs gotta be very high spring rate, very stiff & harsh ride. also you can't just keep going lower & lower, it's not too long before the shock/strut starts to reach the end of it's travel & will bottom, causing them to go bad & ride even worse...
