Custom Intake - Weapon R

Wow...thats pretty disappointing. i guess its an indication to stay away from Weapon R. its also a reminder that dynos can be deceiving...well all thought that dyno was with the intake on when in actuality the one with the most gains was stock.

My take right now is to leave it on as it 1) sounds better 2) looks better 3) easier access when I change my light bulbs:rolleyes: 4) easier to clean/change filter

More runs need to be taken to give a true outlook but it looks like it's a wash for the information given. I'm not sure if resetting the ECU will do much, but I don't know.

Indeed. Overthetop whent with what he had and it might be a good idea..

He posted that he felt more torque and HP.. maybe he can take another one for the team and get this done..

Ched work your magic man..

Hey guys. So I was just surfing over here and realized I have never posted up on IS.com. Anyways I was thinking about getting the FX dyno'ed when I get my exhaust on. I may have it done before and after. Trouble is getting an AWD dyno is kinda hard to come across. I may go over to the guy that did the weapon*r dyno but he will charge me.

Anyways ya I was kinda made at Chris at weapon*r due to the fact that I felt lied to and I felt he lied to the FX people. He should have done more testing to prove # I am happy with my set up that I came up with.

So on the dyno for a AWD FX the # aren't exactly correct. See on the dyno the FX AWD feature kicks in when the rear wheels are spinning and the fronts aren't. So first time we didn't do it locked in AWD when the AWD system kicked in there was a loss of power, also when the limited slip was off. So my # are actually about 15% less hp then real everyday driving when just the rear wheels are turning power so my FX actually in real road power is some where around 259hp off just the rear wheel.

Nice of you make it over to the Scene overthetop! Glad to have you. What you are saying is true. But dyno's are just numbers and a good reference point to know for your baseline when you add more mods. It's really hard to compare with other FX's numbers due to too many variables from one dyno to another.

I like what you did with the weaponR intake and the stock box. How is it running now? I am thinking about doing the same but they will not sell just the pipe and the MAF adapter separately and the other parts are not really needed so the cost is not justified. Anyways, good to another fellow 45'r on the board.
