Custom Exhaust Help

I am thinking about getting a custom exhaust for my car, any recommendations on size, piping, etc?

Most who have done custom have gone with a flowmaster with 2.5 or 3in pipes. If you search you will see some threads with sounds clips too.

I have heard the HR is better off with a true dual exhaust in Z applications. Maybe because it has twin intakes?

Oh, thanks for the info. I am thinking about just changing the muffler, the rear section. Any good brands out there? I am afraid the Flowmaster might be too loud. I am looking for a really deep low sound. Nothing like an american muscle car.

One more question, if I do go with the Flowmaster 80 series, which one should I get for my car? I have the 09 FX35.

Do you have a pic of the muffler currently on there?
I think you want this one, assuming the piping is 2.5" all around. Don't know the '09s off the top of my head, or see a muffler on there that looks exactly like what I think the OEM one does.

Do what I did and cut out the resonators. I have the 2009 also, and it makes the sound just louder, but keeps the authentic infiniti sound. Unless you want something completely different, but resonator delete is an inexpensive way to make your exhaust much better

How much is it to do the resonator delete, and do you just replace it with a pipe or do they gut out the resonator? Also... would it make it sound really raspy? any video clip?
