custom Brake Light Effect

OK guys so here's my thing...I'm trying to create a minor but noticeable mod to my brake light unit but I want to know if anyone on here has heard this before. So, as we already know, once we step on the brake pedal all 54 pretty little led's become solid red. The effect I'm looking for will cause the lights to flash once (really fast-approximately 650ms) turn off at the same rate and become solid again as long as your foot is on the brake pedal. Is anyone familiar with some type of module or other aparatus that can cause our lights to do this??

why would you want it to do that? so people notice you braking more?
just double-step the brake. they are bright anough for ppl so see lol

nyc buses have this too... I thought you were going to say you wanted them sequential when I started reading your post:tongue:
 
It's a good idea. I know many German companies have experimented with this and panic braking. Either they flash under heavy braking, or they light up brighter and more brake lights come on. MB and BMW respectively, I think.
 
the leds on our squad car light bars do that - they blink twice actually then become solid. that may be the most annoying thing next to fran drescher's voice.

it's definitely a unique idea, but, sit behind a vehicle with the turn signal double or triple blinking constantly in the turning lane for 20 seconds and decide if you wanna subject people to that lol.
 
I think it would be annpoying in general. LOL but thats just IMO.



and fyi BMW is the company that had brakelights then brighter brakelights depending on how hard oyu brake, etc
 
My friend has this mod on his m3 kinda like the f1 brake lights where it starts flashing...thoght that was pretty cool
 
Regarding the signals..It would be rather annoying if that were to happen...Maybe I should just start shopping for used ambulance and let my wife drive the F..:confused:
 
Personally, I'm not a fan of the effect, but do let us know if you get it to work. I'd love to see it in action. =)
