Custom Billet American Brother Design Door Handles

Update: foirst email send sept 12. Emailed them again today after trying to reach them by phone and getting their voice mail .

Ok Second update: Just hung up the phone with them after a second phone attent. They will look into it and get back to me about this. A with everything the amount has to be worthwhile. So i told them about the forum and interest. If he would just make one set it would be quit expensive. My as mentioned before maybe if we would get a few to make it woule be interesting enough for them.

He is now checking if the FX handles are doable or not. They are in Carson Nevada. So if anyone knows some FX'er living nearby and willing to stop by, they know were serious as well......might help ;-)

Keep in mind guys. They ask for already produced handles as for the chevrolet cruze 499,- so if we would be interested i think it is safe to say that we at least looking at that price.

Ok i tried to reach them today to follow up with my conversation with them as if they found an FX already so they could look at it,but they are busy guys and it's hard to get them on the phone we already found out.
It might help if we had someone who lives nearby and is willing to stop by them so they can look at the car/handles and also know were serious. Or does anyone have a spair of handles lying around who could ship it to them....??
Unfortunatly i don't and i live on the other side of the pond so to say so any help is welcome if we want to go forward with this idea........ :-)
 
I gues the wires won't run in the grip itself but behind the cap next to it. I don't have the smart key option so am guessing here. But if you read the thread you understand that this is just a feeler from my side if there is any interest in this. The handles on the picture are from a chevrolet cruze. There fully cnc made so i think a cutt out wouldn't be a to big of a deal for them.

Correction i found a picture on ebay and the wiring does run trough the grip ( see picture ). I would talk this trough with them if they decide to go for it cause for now the don't prioritise this very well......

Ok update:to make it worthwhile for them they need to produce a minimum of 25 sets. Pricing for other cars is 499,- usd for 4 pieces incl. Caps. I don't think we are able to make that but hey lets try and i'll start off the list for interest:

Honestly nothing yet. I'm in the first stage of negotiation at this point. Don't have the smartkey so don't know if it can be taken out and switched over to the new handles or not. I gues it won't be to big of a deal to make a hole for them but the wiring would be the difficult part imo.

I am in, but obviously the door handles need to include full functionality (AKA smartkey button needs to exist...).
 
Letts see if we can make a minimum interest of say 15 people and then go forward to them with it. These details don't even matter if we won't hit there target/demand.
