Current Gas Prices ?

$1.40 a liter, holy crap. And I thought $1.25 for premium was expensive here in Alberta :eek.:
 
Yeah, I'm 30 and I remember in high school, getting my first car and paying $.89 a gallon. Those were the days.
 
What I always find funny is how fast gas goes up in relation to the price of a barrel of crude oil. Then when the price of a barrel drops, our gas prices stay where they are for weeks.

Ex. Price for crude last week hit $110 a barrel and gas prices soared. During the day gas stations were raising their prices 2-3 times a day. You might go to work in the morning and see the price at $4.15. You get home and it would be $4.25. Now as of today a barrel is $105 a barrel and the gas prices haven't budged going back down. Where's the correlation?

I think trying to find the correlation between oil and gas prices is a loosing battle. I've asked that question many times and never really got a good answer. It all comes down to supply and demand, if you supply the oil, you can demand whatever you want for it. I don't see gas prices ever dropping to the level they once were just from the fact that we still consume regardless of price. Gas will need to hit $5 a gallon or higher before people really start changing their fuel usage habits.
 
It's around $3.85 for premium around me.. and over $4 for diesel
Ridiculous prices.. I remember when gas was around a dollar an some change and I'm only 25.
 
At a little more than $4 a gallon in my NJ area ......... I guess I shouldn't complain about the below MPG :smile (2): ????

I'm in NYC I fill up 5 times a month about 400-450 a month and yes it's killing me
but as much as i hate it I love this car so much.... dang something is wrong with me
sometimes when i see escalades and other full size I think to my self " These guys R rich!!!"

Or in debt... lol. ("lol" meaning my comment, not the fact that somebody might be in debt... that's just be mean)
