Curious, why don't they offer clear tail lights on the 2nd Gen FX?..

I love the clear tails on my 1st Gen FX, and wish they would offer them on the 2nd Gen, but you can only find them on the Vettel version on the 2nd Gen.

Also, why doesn't Infiniti offer LED headlights? I think they would look cool.
 
LED headlights are very new and until very recently only came on high end Audi's and Benz. Now I see them on Acura's. The Germans are always going to pioneer this stuff, BMW came out with the first production HID. FWIW, right now HID's still seem to perform better than LED's. The LED's I see have a weird cutoff and don't seem to illuminate as much. Having said that, I am very curious to see Audi's new adaptive headlights whenever they are unbanned from the US. I'm still not sure if I like the style or not. The Audi ones look a little weird, the Benz ones look pretty cool, but the Acura ones look atrocious. Looks like they tried to copy a spider, but ended up with a bunch of flashlights glued in there.
 
Seems like a race to utilize the tech and a huge opportunity to do it badly. To the OP's point regarding the tail lights I don't understand why the tails aren't a bit more "unique" with regards to their finish and color.
 
Can't you just buy it from dealer if Vettel version come with it? I'm sure there is a replacement part # for vettel version.
 
But the Vettel version is not offered in the States, so why would they sell the parts for it in the US? It probably would be pretty cost prohibitive. If they offered the clear tails on non- Vettel versions, I'm sure they would be less expensive.

As for the LEDs, even Hyundais and Hondas have em now. I saw them on a new Civic today.
 
Didn't know vettel version not available in US, if only sell in European market then I'm sure some one will ship them for the right price, ebay might sell replica soon, time will tell

The production Vettel model doesn't have clear taillights, just regular red tails

I just bought a 2013 FX37 and love it. I almost got the sport model but they all had Black interior and I wanted the Brown leather. I opted for that and it's Pearl White so I want to make it look different than the few I see on the roads here in Virginia. I would like to get some clear tail light lenses or dark, just something different. Going to powder-coat the wheels Black Chrome but tail lights may change the final look.

I see clear tail lenses on this " Infinity FX Sebastian Vettel 4" but cant find a way to buy any.

Any help?

The production Sebastian Vettel FX cam with red tails, The concept they were showing had the clear ones, and they appear to be one offs
 
At first I was disappointed that there were no clear tails for the 2nd Gen but after I smoked my tails they grew on me.
 
Speaking of rear lights, I'm more disappointed about the light cluster surrounding the reverse lights being fake... :disapointed:
I did look into get aftermarket "real" lights, but apparently, the build quality was terrible. It was an outfit out of Russia.
 
I have a client in town that said that led suck and the new technology is laser light, so would not sweat not having leds
