Cup Holder modification

I agree with many on this list that the cup holder on the FX 35 is woefully inadequate. I finally got tired on what passes for cup holders and modified the front cup holder in my 2005 FX 35. I have been complaining about the cub holders in the FX, both the front and the back, being too big for the small cups we got around here, but I thought you guys are ok with that up there in the US, where you got the almost 1/2 liter cups for coffee, coca cola and almost every beverage

This a very nice documented DIY! I took the cup inserts out and used it as storage for wallet, phone, and keys. I don't eat, drink, or even flatuate in the car.
