Creaking Sound accelerating from a complete stop

Hello All,

First off, I did do a search before posting. I didn't find anything related.

I have a 2006 FX35 w/about 110K miles on the odometer. I installed a set of BC Racing Coilovers and 20MM spacers all around at 80K and never had a problem.

Recently I've noticed a creaking noise coming from the front drivers side area whenever I'm accelerating from a stop light. I assumed that my coilovers may need some adjustments. So I double checked everything was tightened down and double checked the pre-load but found nothing obvious. The creaking still exist and seems to be getting more frequent and louder. Its driving me nuts!! Also, I replaced the front end links around the 30K mile mark.

Has anyone else had this issue?

I'd appreciate any suggestions you guys may have.

Thank you in advance.

What about when you at a complete stop and you move your steering wheel around, does it make sound then? It can be many things, for example: coilover springs rubbing against dry plastic/rubber pieces on coilover assembly(needs to be replaced or greased), coilover pillow ball mount be worn. Loose suspension parts can make noise too, you said you replaced front end links im assuming sway bar end links, might want to go see if any part that was replaced is loose. Also check motor mounts and ball joints to

I recorded a video clip of my engine bay but it won't let me post it. Basically I held the brakes while giving it gas. There is definitely a significant amount of movement on the drivers side of the engine. I still wanted you guys opinion before I spend the $$$ for a new motor mount. I had no idea that they we so expensive.

From your description, I'm pretty sure the driver front side engine mount right below the header is busted.

Sounds like the engine mount is busted. Have a friend take a look or video of the engine while you hit the brake and gas at the same time, also try in reverse. If the engine hops then its busted.. Record the video and post it on youtube or something if you cant post it here

is that right? Well I'll post it right after this!

If it is bad motor mounts, why didn't it creak when I did this video clip? Like I said before, I only hear it when I'm accelerating from a stop light.

yup motor mount is gone, because at a stand still it moves up and down but when you floor it the engone moves around

another great way to inspect it, have someone do the same procedure and peek at the motor mount from the side of drivers wheel and you can it of its coming apart or not.

Just did the gas and brake test, and looks like mine is busted too. Explains lots of little noises and stuff I've noticed.

What I'm really wondering is would a bad motor mount explain the subtle vibrations I notice every now and then while idling at a stop? It seemed like it could be, but also might be something else.
