I *think* I am getting a very small creaking sound from the GTSpec Front Lower Engine Tie Brace. It only happens with the windows down and taking a very very slow turn (noticed it driving through a McDonald's drive-through).

Has anyone else noticed this? It could be a lot of other things but noticed it after I installed the front lower engine tie brace.

Everything was torqued to spec, rivets in place, etc... My car could just be getting old=)

I think I have the same noise. I have replaced all my struts including the strut bearing and upper plate. it's not a big issue but just curious about the noise. :.smile:

I was just about to install this brace...
so is the only thing really holding it is the bottom two bolts?
cause the top for thingys that slide into the holes just slide right out but it has bolts that go into them. So all it really does is keep it from shifting?

Oh yeah, and what are the torque specs?
I got some sort of instructions but I couldnt read them hehe
they were not in inglish.

Those things that slide right back out.. Well used the part they give you so when you put them in place(front mounting points in the frame) and torque them up with the thing that they give you.. The more you torque it the tighter they get. That way they won't slide down..

Update: I have get under the car and re-tie up the front engine tie and the front 4pt ladder bracings. Some bolts were loose. After about a quarter to 6/16 of turn on the torque wrench, that creaking is silent.
