Cracked Dash

One or two years ago when my wife pointed out cracks in the dash, the Austin Infiniti dealer said we missed the dash warranty recall. There are now several very large cracks (with less than 10 posts, I cannot upload pictures). This is our third Infiniti (our first with obvious manufacturing problems). Other discussion threads describe the recall/extended warranty for bubbling (rather than cracked) dashboards. We bought the car used (pre-cracking) and did not receive notice of any recall or warranties. Has anyone with a cracked dash had success going directly to Infiniti when the dealer is no help?
 
I had cracks all over my dashboard, was out of warranty, and the dealership that I took it to still replaced it for free (I didn't receive a notice, I just found one posted on the internet and took it to them). I think it all really depends on the dealership and your relationship with them. I have been to the same dealer ever since I bought by FX in 2006, and even now living in Texas, I still bring my car to them (in Little Rock, Arkansas) if I go back there. They knew me pretty well, and have done some major work on my car before (blown engine).
