Cost of FX before T&L?

2005 in 2005 with 21,000 miles for $29,000. Previous owner drove the heck out of it. 3 years later I am at 44K miles.

I jumped on the invoice + 0% boat on the deals they were giving away for the remaining 08's. It was either that or take the $6000 rebate and do regular financing. Crunched the numbers and the 0% financing option came out better. And it's free money I guess. I'm sure I could have got a little lower plus the 0% but it was the last obsidian/graphite left and I didn't want to risk losing it just to save another grand here or there.

July 08 - '07 FX35 AWD (stats in my sig) with 11,500 miles - $30,500. This was when gas prices were ~$3.75 range and forcasted to hit $5 per gallon. SUV's weren't moving on ANY lot. The stealership claimed (even showed me the invoice of what they own the car for) that they lost $2K on the deal. They just wanted it gone since it had been sitting on their lot for almost 3 months. Ka-ching for me!

April 2005 w/ 2 big miles for $38.5K take away the $500 springs check, comes to 38K.
But once ya add the T/L, the damage is 42K with a 2.9 rate

It was a fair deal though at the time. Just a bit over invoice

& this was after they let me return a non-sport FX that I was cruising for about a month (I hated the handling, & the floaty 18s). I had to pay the MSRP on the sport upgrade, but wasnt complaining. Otherwise, The deal would have been invoice only & nothing over.

well, I guess I'm going to be the cheapest fx here... got it last year, 03fx35, awd tech touring & sport, even got the rear dvd & screen, loaded & mint, ~50k miles, paid $7,000 for it:biggrin:

yeah, she did need a little tlc when I got her, needed 2 fenders, hood, radiator, condenser & support, few other misc parts, but even after repairs & modding it, custom paint, H&R/KYB suspension,2 different BBK's, stillen exhaust & headers, utec, powerdyne supercharger, 3 piece forged wheels w/yoko's, paddle shifters & a bunch of other custom stuff... I can't say that I've even came close to a total of 25k yet including the fx itself, actually will probably just reach a bit over $25k when I get my second set of 3 piece forged wheels in 22's after the new year:tongue:

all paid for, no loans, don't want to drive a car that I haven't even paid for yet which is why I don't really drive big $$$ new cars, I hate owing money for anything except my house or maybe my business. gotta stop spending money on the fx though, I never thought I'd spend anywhere near this much on my fx, I'm usually a $10-$15k car kinda guy but the fx just seems to suck up mods like crazy for some strange reason ... damn, I might wind up reaching $30k by next year after the stereo system but want to draw the line there at least... I hope....

before any extras was $7k, if I fixed her stock but mint woulda been in the 12k range... still gotta be the cheapest fx around... I look at someone like gmgagne with over $100K spent in less than 2 years as a starting point & all I got to say is DAAAAAMMMMMMMMMN... must be nice to have $$$$

tc6,

That is so cool. And not just because of all the money you have saved. I wish I had your skill to take a distressed vehicle and build it into something awesome with my own hands. It must be extremely fun and rewarding.

09 "fully loaded" minus rear entertainment, $47,200.00 That includes $4,000 customer loyalty cash. A copy of the current registration on my G35 provided an additional $4,000 off final negotiated price of $51,200. I was very happy with that.

southern CA dealer hookups

do any of you guys who got these stellar deals have hook ups in OC/LA/Riverside area for preowned FX 06+. i've seen some deals almost as good but NONE better and the dealers don't seem as distressed as I would expect given it's year end, the economy sucks, and there are thousands of cars stuck in the LA/Long Beach ports.

'06 FX45, fully loaded, in November '08 for $26,000.

And traded it in for an '08 G37S in May '10. By then, it had 60K miles, dented front fender, cracked windshield, and in need of new breaks... dealer gave me $25K

I apparently got a hell of a deal in '08. I miss the FX now that it's winter!

^ Dealer fixed it up, and listed it for $31.9K

Last time I saw it on craigslist, they had it listed for $26K...

2008 FX35 AWD, Touring + Tech, brand new for $37k... average deal i guess... wish i knew Kenny at the time
