Correct stock Tire Pressure ? Vibration @ Highway speeds

55 psi??? Warmed up that could be 56-58 psi!!!

Don't do that.

The road force balance number is how far it's off. The lower the number the better. What are the numbers?

You really want less than 15 in the front two.

Yeah they said 50 to 55 psi , take it easy on the driving and no highways if possible, 100 miles is not a lot to drive like that so I will give it a shot , if not, I'll be fighting to get a set of new tires.

Get that is writing and mail a copy to infiniti's legal department:)

of course they won't put that in writing, they said this is the little trick they do to fix this and it usually works, otherwise I have to chase the original dealer to replace the tires

One small problem, I get steering wheel vibration at highway speeds, I checked the tire pressure, it shows LF 37 , RF 35, LR 37 , RR 38. Could the vibration be due to uneven tire pressure ? Isn't stock PSI supposed to be 34 ? Just want some quick input before I take it back to the dealer to have it checked out.
Hi, I had my winter tires mounter on my rims last weekend, and the garage put 37-38psi in. This made the car quite less comfortable, and also there were lots of vibration in the driving wheel on the highway.
I reduced the pressure to 35psi yesterday evening, and everything got cleared out: the ride is more comfortable, and I don't get those vibrations anymore :)
I might reduced that a bit more, as standard is 32psi on my car. But I'll wait for the colder days to check if lower temperature won't drop the pressure too much.

Maybe you should just try that first?

EDIT: these are Yokohama Geolander winter tires.

Hmmm, another thread about vibrations in the steering wheel at 60-65mph: 11604-Steering-wheel-shake-fixed (replace the end of the url of this thread to get the full link).
Would be related to a bolt that needs to be tighten by a very small amount, 1/8 or 1/4 of a turn.

As I said in the above post, the shake is not due to mechanical fault but due to tires that have flat spots on them, they are brand new tires and the car was most likely sitting in a lot somewhere for a long time with under inflated tires. I'm just about done the 100 miles running @ 50psi on all tires to see if that will fix it, if not, they have to replace the tires since the vehicle came like that new.

I left my dealership with a brand new car and messed with the navi info on the way home and came across the TPMS screen. it showed the driver side 36psi and 37psi on the passenger. is it too much?

Those pressures were after you were driving for a while so they will be higher. I'd say it is fine if you had driven it for a while.
I believe the factory recommended pressure is 33 psi and that is cold pressure. I always run my tires a bit more at a 35 psi setting. After I drive my pressures will go up to around 37 psi.
Set your pressures first thing in the morning with a pressure gauge before you drive it.

I was on a highway on the way home for about 15miles before i got to the local and saw 37psi. i will check next time on cold mornings.
