Any particular kind I should be using...noticed today that it is a little low so want to top it off since we are in the middle of a ridiculous cold front here in MN...

Thanks

When I changed my coolant I used http://www.peakantifreeze.com/peak_longlife.html mixed with distilled water.

PEAK Long Life Antifreeze & Coolant features a LongLife coolant technology that is compatible for use in all automobiles and light duty trucks, regardless of make, model, year or original antifreeze color.
  • Compatible for use in all automobiles and light duty trucks
  • Amber color will not change the current antifreeze color when used for topping off
  • Provides 150,000 miles or 5 years of maximum protection when a complete cooling system flush and fill is performed
  • Features a phosphate-free and silicate-free formula
  • Meets ASTM D-3306 and ASTM D-4340

I just wasn't sure if that was legit in the FX...I know in my Audi you can only use a certain type of coolant, and mixing them is a horrible idea...

I also recently toped my coolant with Peaks but the one that was already mixed. Everything has been fine but then again we here in Cali do not have regular sub-zero temps.

I have to change coolant and flushing before go back to korea.
korea winter is very cold not like cali. and summer is very hot.
so I want to find out good coolant. I know almost coolant is pretty similar.
but, I don't want to care about the coolant again.
so...which coolant is good for me?
how about this one - Motul Inugel Expert Ultra coolant http://www.thenismoshop.com/ikorb.php?func=catalog&category_id=4066&product_id=12322

and it's diffrent ratio ?? this one 50% / distilled 50 % ?

also, what kinda Radiator Flush solution is good for fx35??

thank you.

Here's a couple of links about doing a flush:

Flushing with tap/hose water would be fine - you are only cleaning out the system, then putting in fresh coolant. If you want to take it a step further, use distilled water for the flush. There are radiator flush fluids also - these help to break up rust and mineral deposits. Good for high mileage cars. If your FX is relatively new or the fluid you remove is pretty clean, a clean water flush is plenty good enough.

You could go with a new type of coolant, but the Nissan recommendation will work just as well as any other, IMO. I have never really seen an "improvement" from switching coolants. The FX stays cool in the summers and warm in the winters - most all fluids do the job they are designed to do as long as you maintain them correctly.
