Hi guys i'm purchasing a set of outer clear tail light i was just wondering if the led bulbs come with it or do i use my existing ones from the red tail lights
Whether new or used, you will have at a minimum all LEDs. There are 4 bulbs in the tails though, 2 for reverse and 2 for side-markers. Those may or may not come with it. Both sets can be directly swapped from your existing lights without a problem. Both sets can also be replaced with LED bulbs that you can buy separately.
Oh those LED's are not removal or replaceable as they are sealed. Only the side marker bulb is replaceable. So you should not worry about the LED bulbs.
Highly unlikely... but worst-case scenario they can be swapped with your red tails' LEDs. It's not easy, and I think the board inside might also be red, but that can be painted black I guess.
There could be a burned out LED and that's why he's selling them so cheap to get rid of them, but they are used and does it even come with the inner reverse lights?
Personally I'd show up with the FX and tools, pop out one of my tails (it's only 2 nuts that hold the 2 studs in) and hook up both lights to that one connector, test 'em... on, off, brake or turn signal. After that, connect your old light, secure it with the 2 nuts on the 2 studs, pop the lil plastic cap back on in the trunk and you have yourself an answer.
i have one more question in regards to the tail lights what if i'm bying the recalled virsion tail lights. i know that they were recaled in canada but were they also recalled in the usa.
Yes, they were also recalled in the US. There is no way for us to tell if they are recalled light or the new updated version. But from what we can tell there is no real significant difference. I believe the recall was due to the angle of the lights and it was as visible in certain angles/distances. I could not tell the difference when they were replaced.
