Im going to be taking off my rims of my FX in a few weeks for the winter and going to put back the stock rims. I was wondering if there is anything that i need to do with the rims when i store them. Is there a special way to clean them? I believe i read somewhere of some guys waxing them after taking the wheels off their FX.

Yeah, just wash with the same soap as you use for the car (different sponge/mitt). To protect, you can also try DP Wheel Glaze.

I didn't realize Poorboys had a wheel wax. I have quite a bit of their stuff and am pretty satisfied with them all. Love the way they smell too.

^^^LOL:laugh: mmmm the smell. When I get tired of applying the sealant I just have another snort of the Poorboys Wheel Sealant and I'm good to go. Luv the smell.
I am just ordering my second container of their sealant, I've used up the other one.

If you like grape, try their Black Hole. I hadn't finished the EX-P bottle, but wanted to try something else.

OOOO that almost sounds NSFW Poorboys Black Hole :eek.::laugh:

How would it work with Diamond graphite? It says it is good for blacks and reds.

I'm not sure how it would turn out. Its really for all dark cars, not just blacks and reds. Isn't diamond graphite one of the darker grays/silvers? If for nothing else, just get it as an air freshener. Haha

Prima Wheel Armour & Rejex are supposed to be the top 2 wheel sealants currently on the market. detailers in the UK use FK 1000P for its resistency to high heat temperatures.

these would probably be your 3 most durable wheel sealants to use.

i think the poor boys smells like bubble gum. its worth a purchase just to have on the shelf to sniff from time to time lol.

And the Poorboys Wheel Sealant definitely works, personally, I have tried it on my winter wheels and the protection from road salt is excellent compared to some others I have used.
It's number 1 for me and many of my friends that have used it. I started using it after a Detailer friend told me about it.

hmm your making me want to purchase a container just to have it in the shop lol!

Just use your regular car wash Randy, that's all I ever do and my wheels are spotless. If you have a couple good coats of Wheel Sealant such as any of the ones Andrew suggested or what I use, the wheels should clean easily.
