I did the same with mine a while ago. Clay, and a couple coats of Zaino Sealant. She's ready for her long outside stay in the Great White North. I keep it outside and the Zaino sure helps.Wow.. looks like you really got into all the little crevices of the engine. Looks wicked clean. I just claybar'd and waxed my car and its smooth like butter. Getting ready for that crazy NE weather.

Looks good. But next time use a dedicated plastic and rubber protection such as 303 Aerospace Protectant. Using a tire shine dressing is bad for it because it will eventually dry out the plastics and fade them. Stuff like tire shine is only made for tires. Hope that helps!

Your engine bay looks good, but if you don't mind i would like to offer a suggestion ...........next time spray engine bay with foam tire cleaner while engine is cold, cover alternator with plastic bag first. You may need to use tooth brush in cracks etc. Let stand about 5 minutes and rinse with spray bottle or low pressure hose. This can all be done in 20 minutes or so. You will be amazed at the results...................thanks
