I'm soo frustrated and need to vent about these guys!! I have a story which i like to share to users on this forum. Was wondering if anyone on here has dealt with cincity designs..(besides hollywood). Sorry Hollywood, dont mean to call you out but it's because they sponsor you.

I have a bunch of email i saved so let me break it all down. I first started exchanging email with Nic at cincity designs May of 2010 reguarding the work they do and how i wanted my headlights, fog lights and tail lights done. We agreed and settled on the work and prices. Our deal was that he supply the light housings and do the custom work to them, send me those housings and send him my oem housings back to him. I told him i wanted the custom lights in june but he said it would be impossible to get it done that fast. So i told him..ok, i dont want to rush him because i want my lights done properly and that he can take his time. I went ahead and wired the money to his account. Waited for a week then msged him to see if i received the money. He confirmed he got the money on June 1 and that was waiting on the parts to come in to start working on the housings. A month gone by.. i msg him to see how the progress is coming along. He replied on July 6 saying .. "oh, sorry just got bck from holiday..the lights are infront of me being finishing up..will get in touch with u in a few days before everything is ready to ship out". I waited and waited..no msg. So sent him msgs from July 21- aug 10. He didnt reply until aug 13..saying "the tails are seriously giving me a work out..but they'll be done shortly..". Day goes by.. i msg here and there to check up..no reply. I get a msg on Oct 12 " Alright, about ready to get these out of here. I'll send you a video link when they're done to make sure we got everything like you want before they're out the door". More days go by.. Nov 5 " Sorry for the delay. The electronics for the blinkers weren't working as they should so I had to get a new set developed in a rush order..". Months gone by..no msg from him. I msg and ask him about the lights here and there not flipping out or anything because i still want my lights done properly since i already paid...but no respond. Then i get a msg on Jan 11 2011.." Sorry about that. I'll have to double check but I could have swore those shipped out already. What was the shipping address? "

Are you fuking kidding me?!! All those trouble of communicating and he goes telling me he shipped out the lights already. Without msging me to tell me how the lights turned out and the functions are like he said he would? I msged back and told him to double check and forwarded him my bill of sale he sent me when we agreed on the project. I've been msging him for updates since last heard from him on jan 11..but no response. 8 flipping months and i dont have a clue what's going on with my lights.

I'm sooo mad and frustrated !!! I already paid BIG money for this job. I want my lights...what can/should i do? I see all these youtube video they put on...felt like going on there and cursing but then i dont want to stir up trouble and not get my lights at all. I've been super patient and nice to Nic..feels like i'm being taking advantage of. I'm pi$$ed off and ready to kill someone.... URGGHHH!!! :mad.: :bomb:
 
I hope you wired him the money through pay pal, or else if I were you I'd file a claim and they can forcefully take the money back.
 
damn buddy im sorry to here that.. i was planing on getting my headlights and taillight done with them after i saw hollywoods.. but thanks for the info! i hope everything works out for you!
 
damn that really sucks, but its good that you are putting them on blast.

shove them into the hot seat. organize and post up the emails. Tell them you will let this be known on forums. The last thing they want, is a thorough internet bashing.
 
First let me say in some cases like this i would of paid half up front half when done and recieved. If and only if you do not recieve your lights, i would contact them simply giving them a deadline on deliver which by law should be no less than 25 days. After that you can file suit to either get your money back or your product which you paid for.

I guess now I have to find someone else to do my lights. Still got the Russian people and companies atleast they deliver haha.
 
Yo you want any headlight work contact Igor at 180 customs. He worked on my headlight for me doing my bulbs. He does custom LED lighting for headlights and painting.

He also did Jmess's headlights on here on his 2nd gen. Very good quality work!
 
: Dam bro, I'm so sorry! Truth be told bro I got eff'ed by them as well. My lights have been sent to them 4x now, which caused me about 3 month's without my FX.. My lights look great, but there are problems all over place with them. The brackets were broken by them, there's eff'ing handprints on the inside of them, amongst other little BS. I'v never bothered putting them on blast because god forbid mine break again, I need them to fix them because I don't know anybody else that can do the work... They screwed me at SEMA as well.. Nic was supposed to have a booth and bailed 3 weeks before the show. It was awkward when I bumped into him out there. They owe me like 4 videos, all of which I have never gotten. They also burned my buddy out of $500 (he eventually got it back)..
That's why I never started a thread about them, never felt like I could stand behind saying anything really good about them.. I'm down to jump in on this anyway you need me to if it's helps though...

Man, that's a crazy lonnnngg build for lights. IMO I'd tread lightly first to see if you can resolve exactly WHAT is going on before you open up and hammer them. If they are going down they may not care anyway and openly attacking them may make them walk. Do your very best to get your money back first.

Sorry man, that's really a shame. No fun to be put in that position by a vendor you trusted by paying up front.
 
Wow and I was thinking about them to do my headlights when I move onto the second generation. Nice lights, but with crappy service, the company won't succeed. Not professional at all.
 
Sorry to hear about all the trouble your dealing with. If I was in your position I would of made a claim and been writing bad reviews on them all over the internet because you def shouldn't have to deal with that esp that long. I was actually going to go through them at first because of Hollwood's lights. Their prices were steep but the quality on their videos looked sick and they seemed like they knew what they were doing. I'm pretty sure I talked to Nic there but getting a hold of them was almost impossible and I didn't want to go too long without my headlights because my FX is my daily driver. That and our headlights are like a grand a piece and I didn't want to take much of risk going through a company that is across the country. If there were problems I'd like to drive to the place and see what the problem was in person.
So anyway I did more research and I think it was FireOnic3 that told me about Igor @ 180custom. I googled them and found them on g35nyc.com (forum). Gave him a call and told him what I wanted, sent them out took a little over a week to get them back but his work is great, easy communication & if anything he thinks doesn't look right he'll take care of it for ya and fix it so its right. I highly recommend him. All I had on mine done was the entire housing painted black the rear halo housing painted black and the front halo housing painted JAA umbria twilight to match my color and it matches exactly. I wanted LED's throughout the inside like hollywood's but my wallet was thin at the time and I knew I could always get it done down the road.

I paid around 300 for what I got done. As for leds.. not sure... all depends but I think it was like 500-700 for both headlights painted and leds. Call Igor and get a quote (347) 821-6176
 
Over here in ny, i hear igor does some pretty good work. I seen a couple G guys cars at some meets and the headlights looked good. As for backing up his work, he stands by it all the G guys say. I've some where some leds burned out or a led strip burn out. But thats expected when it come to this stuff.

He does really good work. Actually when he was doing something for my headlights for me in person, he showed me Jmess's headlights when he was working on them. He's a really good guy and his work ethics are professional.
