Chrome wheel protection in winter.

I'm going to paint my OE 18's black and mount some snow tires for the winter but for now I am running my Chrome 22'2 and when I washed them I noticed that staining of chrome had started so I cleaned and buffed stains out then applied a heavy coat of Turtle Wax ICE clear wax sealant and did not buff or wipe the wheels after coating them. This time when I washed the wheels all dirt just wiped right off with very little effort.

So you cleaned the wheels then just applied the clear wax that is used for cars? I bought some Mothers today for my chrome lip, the snow and salt got in there and I said I better protect these wheels. Now I have the Ice in my garage, but Im wondering which is better....hmmmmmmmmmmm.

Yeah, I picked up the little buffer ball as well. I may just use the Mothers on the chrome and the Ice on the Machined. Going to be my little project tomorrow, hopefully it will make cleaning a breeze.
