So now it's time for winter and time for the snow tires. I am really happy with the Hankook I*Pike RW11 P265/50R20 106T DSB. They are extremely quiet and handle well at highway speeds. They also look pretty mean.

I didn't wash my car, so don't mind the bugs. Pictures came out decent for having a 5 year old point and shoot camera.

I have one more mod for the winter... I'll post pics once I get it put on:wink:

Those are nice mods, the grille is some things that grow on you, but it's really unique, and I love those exhaust pipes.

yeah loving the tires those are 20's right and you look dropped, Don't really know too much winter weather in southern cali but ya know they looking mean fasho

Yes, 20" OEM for winter. Dropped on H&R's. For some reason I'm liking my OEM's better than my 22's right now, maybe I'm going through withdrawal for not seeing my OEM's for a while=)

So reporting back on the Hankook IPike tires -- I'm sticking to Chicago Roads/Snow/Ice/Slush like GLUE.

No slippage in acceleration and no ABS during breaking. Still need to be careful and turns need to be taken slow, but light years ahead of the already good Hankook RH06 All-seasons.

What great tires. I look forward to driving in snow now!

Good to hear, they sound like great tires. Where in IL are you and how much snow did you get last night?

Chicago. Not sure, the forecast said 6 - 11 inches. I've been driving through maybe 4-5 inches in the suburbs no problem, the other roads are only at like 1-2 inches of slush/snow/ice.

Did you have the spikes installed?

Nope, I think you can only go like X mph until the spikes fly out. There is no need in my mind for spikes, probably only ruin the roads.

I'm all for studdable tires/studless tires. I got a performance winter tire on another car, I thinking I should have gotten a true winter tire like the Ipikes.
