Hey guys,
I have an '05 FX 35 and i am looking to replace the interior dash and center consule lights. I have seen pictures of other people doing this but I am looking for someone who may know how to do this and can help me out with directions. I need to know what kind of LED's I need and any directions on how to take apart the components. Any help would be great.

the LEDS are 0805s for the backlighting of the bulbs.

the indicator bulbs that show when something is turned on are plcc-2 bulbs.

there are just under 60 of the 0805s total. to change those, it would be best to have a chip master machine which blows direct hot air and flows the solder on the board so you can remove/replace the bulbs, but, i'm guessing some people have done it with a soldering iron...

EDIT: for taking apart the dash, just look it up in the DIY section. it's very simple and explained there with diagrams, etc.

oh boy lol. here is the link.

you basically just pull the radio/hvac controls out. it's only held in place with clips and pawls. after that, remove the navigation knob along with the volume and tuner knobs. then there's 7 screws i believe to remove the board from the assembly. there is a piece by the cd door that is loose and can fall out so make sure you have it laying down during disassembly - the piece can only go back in one way so it's not a big deal and it's very simple, but, be careful not to let it drop.

also, here is the link to see the board and a reference to the size of the bulbs from when i did it. just scroll down to see.
