ceramic vs metallic HFC

I'm at the point on purchasing Fast Intentions high flow cats but couldn't decide between ceramic or metallic.. I've read around that ceramic doesn't last as long as the metallic but how long are we talking about here? I definitely won't keep my FX for more than 5 years so if that's the time frame I'd probably go buy some used cats. So does anybody know anything about this? Is it worth spending $600 for metallic new instead of spending like $400 used for ceramic?

if your FI then you have to go metallic, otherwise ceramic is ok as far as I know...

you will yield better performance with 300 cell since 400 cell is just an upgraded version of the OEM cats

I've got a ceramic high flow cat on my RX-7 and it even passes DEQ... However, FI or not, I wouldn't recommend buying a used ceramic one because of their lifespan.

well, we're talking about a like-new one here Anyhow, I'll probably go with the metallic ones.. Do you guys know how louder they are? I have headers, CAI and will install my 2.5" APS ST exhaust as well.. With all of them, I don't want to be shattering glass windows (or my ear drums) everywhere..
