Wanted to service my calipers, I been looking for an economic solution and I came across Centric Caliper Kit PN 143.42034 & 143.42031 sold on eBay and Amazon by less than 6$ each. These basically contain the required elastomers - seal and boot. Did anyone use these before? How about the quality and reliability? Any info is appreciated.

Infintipartsusa does not sell those elastomers separately, and rather in bigger kits (45$ per front caliper PN 41080-CA00J and 25$ per rear caliper PN 41120-CA025), I have asked them about the contents of each kit and yet they will get back to me, but I guess those kits contain the pistons and other items which I might not need.

I spoke too soon, actually the part numbers provided by infinitipartsusa are for the front hardware kit (41080-CA00J) and front caliper reseal kit (41120-CA025), each kit comes with enough to do both the left and right hand side. So I am after the reseal kit which is economic enough for OEM parts!, I will post pictures of its contents when I receive it.

So I received today the centric kits in subject, I have attached a picture of the contents. I however placed an order for the OEM kits 41080-CA00J & 41120-CA025 and I will use these instead, infinitipartsusa do not have these in stock and so they are not even shipped yet.

How did the Centric Kit work out for you? And could you do a write up on how to do this on our brake calipers.

and the OEM part # you gave is for the shim kit, not an OEM caliper rebuild kit.

So far the centric kit is good I have not noticed any issues, I am going to receive the OEM kits I have ordered next week so I will rebuild again, I will make sure I take some pictures and put together a nice write up.

Regarding the OEM kits, correct these are not necessarily rebuild kits but they contain everything you need to rebuild, all I wanted was the seals and the pad retainers as mine were missing, so infinitipartsusa proposed me to buy these kits which contain what I want as they do not sell them separately, to be honest I did not mind buying the whole thing as my calipers are in pretty bad shape and the will appreciate any new parts.

I will take pictures of the OEM kits contents and post them up in this thread.

To continue this thread i was wondering if anyone has got some more experiences with rebuilding calipers and rebuildkit brands?
I myself have rebuild some and used different brand like centric and dorman, nissan oem.I find dorman less easy to fix than the oem nissan kit.I seems to me (but not sure) that the rubber quality of the oem is better, a bit stiffer and forms better, meaning gets into good shape. Putting in the iron ring in (which closes the seal into the caliper keeping moisture out)is the biggest pain in the but.
Than there is the huge difference in price like 35 and more for the nissan oem kit and just a few bucks for the other brands (and thats so tempting), so there has to be a difference in quality I presume.
Futher on it is the rear calipers that needs fixing the most.
So if anyone has got experience with this stuff please reply.

Both centric and OEM are good, really no difference unless maybe on the long run which I have not got the chance to experience with the centric kit, I had it installed temporarily till I got the OEM.
Granted the installation is a bit hard but the good news is you only have to do it probably once in the life time of the car. Better to use the correct grease to each component, not sure if it matters but it sounded like a big deal when reading about it.

I noticed the other day while using Dorman that the outer ring of the seal gets flat after installing it in place. The Nissan Oem outer rubber ring stays upright.Maybe this does not influence the effect on protecting against dirt and moisture.
