Center console oem question?

hello, does anyone know where i can get this Part mark on the photo? or does anyone have a part number? and also how much would it cost me? i just need the plastic cover with out the button if it comes w/ out the buttons.. i have a scratch on mine and i need to replace it. btw i just dont want to pay dealer price.

Did you buy it like that or scratch it by accident ? Not sure where you could get that piece. I'd either look on infinitipartsusa.com or go to the dealer and ask them, get the part number and look it up that way.
I bought mine used and it had a huge scratch on the information screen, something that would bother me constantly. I told them I'm not buying it unless you replace it with a new one. So they did, I'm sure they just swapped it out with a 09/10 fx they had in the lot.
But I'll look online in a bit and see if I can find anything for you. Not going to be cheap ..
 
I saw this somewhere before when I was searching through parts prices. I recall it being like $350-$400. Somewhere around that area. The reason why it costs a lot because it comes attached with the AC vents to it when you buy it.

Forgot to mention that if the scratch isn't too deep, you are allowed to buff it with a DEDICATED finishing polish only to remove it since it has a clear coat.

Fireonic the scratch is to deep unfortunately.. And how come it comes with the vents? the piece looks like it's a stand alone piece infact it looks simple to replace..

To take off that piece you have to remove the entire lower console and middle console first or else the top piece doesn't come off. It takes about an hour or two to do.


When I did the navi mod I noticed the the vents are attached to that black trim piece. I also looked at Infiniti parts and it shows that it comes with the vents.

Either way let's just say it doesn't come with the vents, the piece is still $300-$400. It's black laquer trim so it costs a lot.
 
Yeah Just trying to help bro. The top part just doesn't come off. The entire lower portion has to come off first too. I know from experience since I did the navi mod so that I can watch videos while driving. The entire console needs to come apart.
 
That part you circled is not a standalone piece.. As Fire mentioned the assembly comes with the vent, screen housing etc.... Takes a while to remove the first time, but takes about 5 min for me now.. just practice.
 
Got it replaced yesterday it cost me half price my girlfriend owns a junkyard and she got the partt at dealers cost but the dealer did a bad job left one of the defrost buttons on the center console stuck now i cant turn on my rear defrost.. anyways i called them and they'll go back in and fix it no charge obviously..

-FIRE i wanted to ask u if u are willing to help do the video mod when im ready to do it?? i would gladly appreciate it!!

Haha at happened to me when I took the console apart. It's a simple fix really. The reason why the defrost button is stuck is because the dealer didn't tighten up the screws on the back of the circuit board properly. If you don't tighten the screw up properly, the buttons don't make good contact with the circuit board.

Im freeport LI, I seen that u purchased yours from massapequa.. So your probably closer to me than we think.. I bought mine from manhasett..
 
I would just live with it. What if you scratch new one as well ;-)
YOu will feel shit to buy expensive new one and might happen same way
