center console frozen

Weird incident happen the other day. I was on the way home and saw that my buddy was finishing up at a local mtb trail, so I pulled in and chatted for a bit. After chatting, I start up my FX pull out and notice that everything was frozen on my screen. None of the buttons functioned, and my radio and a/c were stuck in the previous position. I ended up pulling over, shutting off, and restarting. Everything worked fine when restarting. Just ranting.

This happened on my 2005 FX a number of times, and it was almost always triggered by a maintenance warning for oil or tire rotation and hitting "MAP." Haven't had this problem on my 2006.

What I found to correct it was to clear the maintenance warning before doing anything else. Not sure if this describes your problem or not.

i concur with GJBenn85. That happened to me as well.. Just take out the maintenance warning and you should be fine..
