I'm having issues with my cd player in my 05 fx35. It skips so much and its not the cd i have put new cd's in and it still tends to skip. I have noticed if i turn my car on and let the cd player run for about 10 - 15 minutes it will work okay and it wont skip as often. I JUST BOUGHT MY FX ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO AND DID REALIZE THE ISSUE THEN BUT I JUST THOUGHT IT WAS THE CD THAT WAS SCRATCHED LOL. PLEASE IF YOU HAVE ANY INFO ON THIS HELP ME OUT.

I have tried to do a search on this forum for any write ups or other threads on this topic and could not find any. If by any chance there is one i apologize for not finding it. Send me a link to the thread or shim in and please help me. Thanks!!!!!

No i have not. I was thinking of buying one of them cd player cleaner. but i buddy of mine said that he knew of this being a issues with the fx35. Is that true??

I've been searching multiple forums lately and the jist of it is that these cd changers Infiniti uses are terribly prone to failure. I've had my FX for 6 months and its dead already. My daughter was pressing buttons on the dash with the car off. She tapped the eject button and the changer made some clicks like it was skipping gears, now it's dead. I unplugged every harness and let it sit overnight, and now the car doesn't even recognize it as being connected. Hopefully the warranty will cover this.

Well i went to buy the cd cleaner yesterday at best buy and for some reason the cd player keeps ejecting it and does not recognize the cd. I'm not sure why??? I'm going to buy a different one today and try it again. If that does not work i'm just going to have to buy the ipod connection. Thanks guys for all your help and input.

I have a similiar problem. Cd changer would be loaded but the changer does not recognize any of the CDs. How am
I supposed to listen to Elvis?

I've had problems with my CD player after a year of buying the car brand new.
When I press the eject button, the panel doesn't open to eject the CD because it's STUCK.
So I have to use another CD to pry it down so that the other disk can come out.
It wasn't covered under warranty. :(

I bought a different cd player cleaner and this one did accept it but still no luck. It really only skips when i'm listen to a cd on a cold start or for the first start of the day. usually, after driving for 10-15 minutes its okay and it really wont skip as much. So now i just start my 10-15 mintues before i leave because driving while your cd is skipping is so annoying lol.

goldm4g3- how much did you have to pay for a new cd player??

It will be expensive new, but you can buy one used on eBay:

From the add "You will get $60 refund if you trade in with your current head unit. After install the new radio, send the core for refund. Credit will be sent to your PayPal once we receive the core."

LOL NEW? I didn't buy a new CD player.. I use my iPod via FM transmitter now. I don't think I would ever buy a new CD player for the reason of the tray not opening properly.

Bought this one from him, he's local to me......great guy, he even took out my old stereo and installed the new one. Also, he took out my stuck cd,'s too. I had ripped the ribbon cable on the stereo so my cd's could not be ejected or changed, and he didnt charge me anymore and still gave me the full core trade in.....cd player has been working perfect since replacement approx 6 months now. He gets everything straight from Denon who builds our headunits.. I think my thread was ...fix your cd player"

Thanks guys for your input and links that you posted. I will probably just end up buying a new unit. Thanks again it is well appreciated

This is a first gen thing. I'm on my third cd player and about to get my fourth. It starts skipping for the first time when the weather turns cooler, then slowly gets worse. My first two replacement units were covered under warranty. This next one is out of pocket.
