I finally decided to open the cargo net and install it to keep cargo from moving around. It seems too big to use. I am obviously not understanding how to use this thing. Hows it work?

it has 2 hooks right? well each hook gets hooked one side of the trunk corner and you basically stretch it. It should look rectangular about 3-4 feet stretched

It has 4 hooks. I figured two get hooked on the backs of the seats and the other two get hooked on the floor mounts. I tried, the net is two big.

no you dont hook anything to the sits, when i got the car it wasnt hooked to the sits

IT SHOULD JUST LIKE THIS!!

On the infinitiusa site, under accessories it shows it mounted to what looks like the 4 floor mount points, holding down the cargo.

I don't see what good that net is doing mounted like in your picture.

When I first got the car, the cargo net was a savior because ANYTHING in the trunk would slide all over the place. Then when I started putting dogs in the trunk, I put blankets down to save the liner from claw marks. So with blankets, nothing slides. Now I have a duffle bag to keep items pinned to the side.
No more need for the cargo net. I do miss using it though. I was handy.

I see Aiya's pic, the two hooks go thru the holes on his mat.

On my 2010 Fx35, the cargo mat covers two hooks, so I can only use the cargo net without the mat. Are there supposed to have two holes on the 2009+ ones too?

i thought the cargo net was to help/prevent item from flying over into the passenger/driver in case you get into an accident (if you don't have the cargo cover)
