Carbon Fiber Dashboard

I have a few pictures of a chrome dash trim kit, but it can just as easily be done in carbon fiber like you want. There is the picture of the chrome Infiniti FX35 on my site mojoparts.com... just search for FX35. The owner was really happy with the result in his FX35, so he sent me the pics of his dash kit.

Hi bleedingsujit - go Colts! - I live in Indy! How did a Colts fan end up in Texas?

Dash would be tough, could be done but won't turn out spectacular.

If you mean console that can be easily done but if it gets sun, it will fade.

Friends GTR obsessed with carbon fiber but none the less, "cool" finished product.

I've never seen a full CF dash on an FX; plenty of other cars, but never an FX. I've seen a few dash kits that just go over the aluminum area, but that looks kind of cheap. All the dash kits I've seen so far are flat and so you see the edge. It looks decent in pics, but in real life it looks tacky and stuck on. Don't buy the kits on eBay; I'd actually recommend against buying any dash kit for the car. On most newer cars, like the FX, it looks awful. I used to be a dash kit manufacturer and sold my business because it got harder and harder to make kits for newer cars that didn't look like junk.

Of course there's the new trend of using 3M DI-NOC vinyl or Neffy wrap. It doesn't look too bad since there's no edge, but as real as it looks (worlds better than the old CF vinyls), it still looks fake.

Does anyone have a Carbon Fiber Dashboard with a picture of it?
