Car Wont Start!

Anyone know a good battery to get at a reasonable price? Should I just get an OEM one or are there better for a similar price?

I like to get "good" batteries with "great" warranties from an auto parts chain store convenient to you. Optima probably makes the best batteries, but you pay thru the nose. Other general brands are generally equal to eachother. The warranty will be something like free replacement in 2-3 years and prorated refund up to 6-8 years. Beacause of the warranty, get the battery from the local store you usually go to. For me Autozone is the closest and walking distance and 24 hrs. So, when a battery goes, I know I have the warranty there every time. (usually, specialty stuff is a whole other story). If you shop around now and save $10 by driving across town, you'll lock in your warranty if you ever want to cash in on it. So, I say to stay convenient most importantly if you're keeping the car.

Thanks for the help everyone. I just got the car jump started (still running) and am going out to get a new battery in a few minutes. Thanks for posting the battery comparisons!

Good luck drew. I usually just Change my battery every 2 to 3 years for piece of mind ESP the fact I go snowboarding all the time.

If its not too late, don't fall for all the other crap they want you to buy with it. (New cables, contact thingies, and magic lube). After installing, wipe a thin coat of petroleum jelly over the terminals to keep corrosion at bay.

Lol I didn't buy anything extra except for some stupid little pads for 1$ to stop corrosion. I ended up going with the Duralast Gold. She never started up with such power!
