Car wash

I NEVER EVER take my car to a car wash, do you know how many cars go thru those brushes, and those hanging things??, can't imagine how much dirt is on those... I'd rather freeze my hands than let those machine near my Infinito.

Do you guys trust the car washes where you drive up and put quarters/tokens in, then switch the dial through all of the settings (soap/conditioning/tire cleaner/engine degrease/rinse/presoak/foaming brush/spot-freerinse) and you take the wand and wash the car yourself?

Or are the chemicals that they use in those car washes too harmful for the vehicle?

Don't use the brush no matter what.

I pre-soak, then wash with high pressure, then water with high pressure, and dry with microfiber.

I take my car to car wash from time to time but sometimes I also wash it at home. I know that the brushes can also leave small scratches but sometimes I just want my car to be washed and do not want to do it on my own.
