I used to wash my cars @ The Alamo on Nogales, but recently, their service has been horrible.. scratched paint, swirl marks, scuffed rim, bad/rude service, melted my headlight bulb/socket assembly, etc

anyone go to other washes? I want to get my FX washed before I go cruising Sat morning... and don't have time to wash it myself today

PS - this wasn't on my FX, thank goodness. Was on my Eclipse...

I wash it myself, but wipe it down so often that I only have to wash every couple months.... I went almost 3 months once... but the paintball place Pierce, Humberto and I went to, had a freaking country road we had to go through... in order to get there... needless to say, our FXs got very dirty

went to the one on walnut dr/fairway...

sucks... super fast, no attention to detail, leftover soap..

"hand-wash only" meant no scrubbing i guess...

for $20 they didnt even clean the interior-leather/vinyl
and i think i found a scratch...

however, they do have a $39.99/mo unlimited "gold" wash.

unlimited wash, unlimited scratches for free...

i just got my bi annual carwash.... sure is pretty and shiny... i dont dust... but im a huge fan of the carwash on melrose and spaulding (near fairfax) wax/ clay/ interior takes 2 hours which is just long enough for a nice lunch and some shopping... perfect

I used to have my cars washed at Walnut Dr. and Fairway all the time, usually very good. Sometimes there is residue, wet spots, which is why at ALL car washes, I go around and check the car before driving off. It really just depends on how busy/lazy the guy doing your car is. But nothing bad to say about Walnut/Fairway

Hey, whats up Toy? I used to go to this car wash in Maywood on Slauson and King at the Chevron. They used to take really good care of my FX there. Head north on Atlantic, make a left on Slauson and it's on the left hand side before you hit King.

Thanks 626FX...going to have to check that one out..the ones around here (S.Gate) suck, and some of them are very racist towards me being white and not hispanic.

Oh wow, that sucks. So what type of experience have they had towards you?

Hopefully you can make it out to our next meet.

A lot of times when I am the first one there, or the only one in line...they'll have me wait around to even take what I want. Then if another car pulls up.....they'll jump over me and immediately get the car that just rolled up. Then if another car pulls up, they will still get to them before me! This has happened more than once...and it doesn't matter what car I bring in.

I'm trying to get to a meet, but they're always on days I got something going on...I see Humbertucali (spelling) rolling down tweedy sometimes and I forgot his name with the baby blue FX down by alemeda and firestone.

Oh that sucks. Have you talked to the managers there? I would.

Oh yeah, Bert is one really cool guy. He just left Southgate.

I think your talking about Candyman I believe.

Hit me up when you can and I can make sure that they take care of you at the SG hand wash on Firestone....

BTW what color is your FX..? I seen an '03 coppen one once in a while.. and a black one that lives riht off of Long Beach infront of the new elementary school, right next to the Ho-Tel..

Pm your number so we can hook up. good to know that there is a fellow fx'r in the neihborhood.

this is my last week in SG but my immediate family is there and I will still be arround there for a while.

Also, another place around San Dimas area that does a GREAT job:

57n - 210e
exit Foothill
make a left onto Foothill
Chevron Station/car wash/oil change/Taco Bell

It is a machine wash..but they actually take care of their brushes....never had a bad job here, very clean. They actually have a big building where they hand dry your car so your never get dry spots. You can also get a syn oil change here for $50 (Mobil 1) and your car wash is free. Then while you wait, eat lunch at Taco Bell. Usually gas is very well priced here too! Usual wait for oil change and car wash is about 1 - 1 1/2 hrs....not too bad
