On Friday night, my car overheated with coolant boiling in the reservoir which caused the coolant to spill out from the reservoir.
I got a chance to drop off my car at Riverside Infiniti today. The service manager called me back to let me know that there was a leak in the radiator and the radiator had to be replace along with the thermostat.
Quite a disappointment from this car since I always babied my car and I've never abused it. It just happens so that the thing breaks when I'm out of basic warranty.
I thought it was the dreaded head gasket leak, but I guess that's not the case. I wonder if they even tried a compression test on the system to isolate it to the radiator.
Anyhow, they want to rape me for $1,100 for parts and labor.
I hope this will make the problem go away or I'm gonna be pretty pissed off for paying for something that doesn't need to be repaired.
I'll keep you guys posted.
