What's up guys Just yesterday I was driving my car everything was fine. On my way home the steering wheel and brakes locked and the car died out. Went to start it nothing. Rolled it to the side of the street couldn't push the brakes and threw it in park made some kind of a noise. I couldn't really hear the fuel pump come on so I was shaking the car side to side tried to start it and it almost came on let it sit for a while and then came back on with no problem. Any body ever experienced something like my situation. There Is gas in my car but don't know what happened. Afraid of taking my car out again just incase it dies out again. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I wanna say its a cam or crank sensor..

A fuel pump could have a struggle shutting down.

Pull the codes and find out for sure.

Was there a battery light on the dash? I had a similar situation and my alternator was going out slowly.

Thanks for the help guys. I'm gonna go check it out when I get the chance. At zebra I really didn't pay attention if there was a battery light on but for the past couple months in the mornings when sitting overnight at start up it felt like the battery is dying but after an hr cranks up just fine. I just yesterday went to start it up started up just fine but hear this weird noise in the engine bay kinda like a hissing noise right by the PVC valve which was changed. As far as the battery I'll start the car remove the negative side and see if it stalls out. But I don't understand why my steering wheel would lock and not be able to push my brakes.

Alright, I drive an older Jeep CJ that does not have power brakes or power steering, it is normal for someone who is not used to this feeling to describe what you are as the brakes being locked up. and steering locked up, try to turn the steering wheel at a stop without engine running, it is VERY hard to do , the faster you go, the easier it should get. brakes are the same without power brakes its not easy to push brakes down. im thinking that since your engine turned off, you infact lost power brakes and power steering.

Yea that's why I lost power brakes and power steering. I'm gonna go check it out today got a extra fuel pump in my house if it's that gonna change it out hopefully won't be too hard to swap it.
