Car Cover

I used the search function but found nothing.

What car cover would you recommend using or what are features to look for when buying one. I have a couple young kids and my old daily beater would get weekly scratches from bike handles etc. If this happens to my FX I will have meltdown.

Thanks everyone

stay away from car covers. get yourself a car port instead.

problem with a cover is false sense of security... "it's covered so it won't get damaged"... causes even more carelessness & people placing things on/against it thinking the cover will protect it... it may help with light brushes against it type stuff I guess, but a cover isn't going to protect it all that much

I have a 3 car garage, I just want something to put over it at night so it won't get scratched by the kids. It won't be used for any long term storage.
hmm, put up a wall & turn your 3 car into a 2 car + 1 car? park your fx in the 1 car & close the door behind you? seems to make sense to me lol.

There are several covers that are designed to resist typical scratches and dents (usually called "ding protection") from the opening of an adjacent car door. They DO work. The covers are thicker than most and will take up a bit more room when folded or rolled up.

Should work for most "kid" issues, but "kids" can be pretty creative!

Hi,

I'm also looking for a car cover. What should i look out for when looking for one? I just need to cover the fx occasionally when parking my car at a friends garage which has a leaking roof while I am on trips. Thank you.
